Digital Marketing
Digital Marketing Introduction The main theme to be addressed is the fact that digital marketing presents opportunities and challenges to organisations. The study will list and explain the five element formula for digital marketing and provide a description of two opportunities and two challenges for organisations when using digital marketing.Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Digital Marketing specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More The analysis will describe three ways organisations can learn to use digital marketing. Lastly, the study will recommend the main reason why organisations should adopt digital marketing and justify the preferred choice. In general, digital marketing is an outward sign of the intention of an organisation to promote itself globally. Importance of Digital Marketing Digital media provides markets with custom frameworks and models of interaction, which coordinate operations from location of consumers including their a ctivities at that present time. Therefore, digital marketing enhances all these moments in order to foster success at all levels (Klososky 2012). The other issue is that digital marketing promotes social connectivity. Therefore, as brand engagements stretch across platforms, it starts to create a forum for focused consumers interaction where they get to socialize with the brand itself. Moreover, it provides an environment whereby consumers get to share more information with others regarding the brand. In this respect, consumers act as brand ambassadors. This is because it provides tools and mechanisms which influence customers behaviour across existing social networks, such as Facebook or MySpace (Martin Todorov 2010). However, digital marketing has its peculiar challenges of organisations. The most obvious reason is that it is expensive since it requires stronger e-Marketing components. Therefore, small businesses, for instance, may find it very expensive to have a sustainable web presence (Parkin 2009;Ryan Jones 2012). The other challenge may refer to intellectual property issues whereby firms risk having their products manipulated by other malicious businesses in the process of advertising. Well, this may be controlled by having sound internal controls but then governed by cyber laws which would prevent violation of cyber rights for a given business (Schmid 2007; The CIM 2011).Advertising Looking for report on business economics? People commonly indulge in using social facilities such as Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. Therefore, a good comprehension on its underlying concepts including how to integrate them to investment processes or strategies can be of paramount importance today (Klososky 2012). There are growing concer ns as to why the public should care so much about acquiring shares with Facebook or Twitter or LinkedIn under the IPO pact. It is the case that it is not appropriate for any company to disregard social technology in 2012. Social networking promotes collaboration, interaction and effective communication thus enabling companies to stay linked to one another. Thus, Facebook and Twitter among others offer such possibilities for businesses. In addition, social media creates a platform with the help of which people can easily access videos, files, documents, films or presentations. The main tools for this are You Tube, Flickr and Slideshare.net among others (Klososky 2012). Social relevance defines the online reputation of an organisation or individual. Additionally, through social tools or what would be referred to as the ââ¬Å"eWord of Mouthâ⬠, new ideas can be propagandized, this will help a lot of companies to economize their finances with the help of updated design of interface (Klososky 2012). Research indicates that social technologies are popular due to their ability to assist in driving revenue in new directions so that they can be in tandem with the wider scope of marketing (Weber 2009). The next subsection will provide more analysis on the five-element formula involved in digital marketing. Five-Element Formula:Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Digital Marketing specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Development of Useful and Reliable websites: These refer to the destinations where people obtain access to stored information or carry out other processes. The other thing is that people will not visit such properties without a specific rationale; additionally, websites do not capitalise on providing ongoing relations (Klososky 2012). Establishing technologies across social networks: This sustains mechanisms that ensure remote relationships with clients. Also this builds trust with prospects towards sharing vital information (Klososky 2012). Mobile Tools: It Recently, it has become possible for businesses to connect 24/7 across networks; this facilitates a good link between them and their clients all over the world. It is vital for any company to be linked with its clients randomly and from any place of origin. In this regard, an organization must be in a position to achieve such connection (Klososky 2012). Driving Online Traffic: The other consideration is to have a heavy traffic across the relationship net, which can be attained with the help of traditional advertising, pay-per-click campaigns and search engine optimisation (Klososky 2012). Measurement Systems: The essential point here is that what undergoes measuring also gets done. Therefore, upon fulfilling the first four strategies mentioned above, the next thing will be to establish an overall measurement which can be used to understand what functions properly or what requires improvement (Klososky 2012). Organ isations may learn how to use digital marketing by training their own personnel. This can be focused on the marketing department thus, pick a few professionals to be trained on digital marketing processes. Secondly, organisations can learn digital marketing processes through benchmarking. This is where they may seek ideas from other companies that have successfully used digital marketing. Last but not least, an organisation can invite experts to conduct training on the benefits of digital marketing, including their applications across the organisation. The essential reason why companies ought to adopt digital marketing is because they can target a wide group of clients all over the world. Digital marketing actually means conducting a world marketing campaign without limitations of boundaries (Wind Mahajan 2001). Therefore, it would be possible for an organisation to have a global presence through digital marketing processes. Conclusion It can be seen that digital marketing is the w ay to go for any business which hopes to capture global interest on its products. As such, digital marketing may not be easy to sustain but with the emergence of social medial tools, such as Facebook or Twitter, organisations can still achieve the best. It is not necessary to struggle to have in place a website in order to have a web presence; but the aforementioned tools can be effective to achieve this end. The parting note would be to have strong and reliable legal provisions that will make digital marketing beneficial to organisations that depend on it. Allied Powers Between The Conferences Yalta And Potsdam
Allied Powers Between The Conferences Yalta And Potsdam When the allies met in Yalta, in February 1945, the war was still ongoing. There were obvious signs that the German forces were weakening, yet fighting continued. As a result, when the Allies met in Yalta, defeating Germany was still in the fore front of their minds.1They had put aside their fundamental differences and were united in the face of a universal foe. Yet even here the cracks were beginning to show. By the time of the Potsdam conference in August of the same year, these cracks had enlarged due to a number of significant factors. Firstly, it is important to focus on what happened at the conference in Yalta. Each of the allies had high expectations of what would happen after the war ended. Russia was obsessed with the idea of reparation payments, whereas America preferred a tactic of rehabilitation rather than total destruction. As there is still a war going on, America does not step in when Russia demands that $20 billion reparation payments should be given by Germany, and half of this huge sum should be paid to Russia.2 Roosevelt actually agrees in principle, and consequently Stalin leaves, believing he has what he wants. Other big decisions such as post war arrangements for Germany were left off the agenda at this conference, as they were believed to be too significant and important to be discussed at a time when the war was ongoing.3 Postponing major decisions seemed a sensible idea at the time; however, this would prove to be a costly misjudgement later. By the time the Allies met again at the Potsdam conference, in August of the same year, many significant changes had taken place. The most major change was that the war had ended, and this altered the mindset of the allies greatly. The allies had sustained huge losses and the effect this had can be seen clearly in the measures they took after the war. Russia alone had lost 8.7 million men and women in combat and a further 18 million civilians. In real terms, this showed that Russia had sustained the most casualties and in fact, to every one American that died, ninety Soviets lost their lives.4 Consequently, all three countries were seeking maximum security, to strengthen their position and prevent another war of this magnitude occurring again. America, for example, started to set up bases in the Atlantic Ocean so they would have complete control of who entered the country.5 This clearly shows how serious the idea of security was taken by the strongest of the allied powers. These fears of security made the allies suspicious of one another, and America recognised that now Germany was defeated, the next threat to American security came from much nearer to home in the form of Russia. Russia had given America cause to think this, as their position had strengthened even from the short time between the Yalta and Potsdam conference. Russia was in a powerful position at the end of the war, despite suffering huge losses. The Red army liberated Berlin on the 24th April 1945, after two weeks of the bloodiest fighting witnessed in world war two.6 As a result of the Allies indecisiveness in Yalta, no agreement had been drawn up as to what would be done with Germany straight after the war. So, Russia stripped German factories and rounded up workers to help rebuild their damaged country, and this angered the Western allies. Furthermore, immediately after Yalta, Russia began the sovietisation of the areas it occupied, and did this without any consideration to the policies of the allies in the west.7 The Communist influence was expanding further. Another bone of contention with the allies was the size of the Russian army. Western allies argued that Russia did not need such a large army now the threat from Germany was over.8 They believed that Russia could function with a smaller army which could be use for defence. This shows early fears from America that Russia were a threat to their security, and that the US had identified Russia as a potential enemy.

Website plan - Essay Example In fact, e-commerce is believed to the most important and attractive internet supported ideas appeared in the recent times. In this scenario, electronic commerce engages carrying out business over the web with the help of computers that are connected to each other in order to form a network. In simple words, ecommerce deals with selling and buying products and services and transferring funds by making use of digital communications (EcommerceEducation, 2007; Hendershot, 2013). In addition, both the trends e-commerce and e-business are used interchangeably. However, e-business is about the development of businesses which can be run on the Internet, or using Internet systems and technologies to enhance the profitability or productivity of a company. In other words, this term can be employed to explain some structure of electronic business: that is to say, a business that makes use of a computer. This practice is somewhat out-of-date, though, and in most of the cases e-business refers completely to an Internet based business. In this scenario, the most frequent use of this term is for demonstrating a business which offers and sells products and services online, an e-business allows a firm to get access to a huge customer base than some customary brick-and-mortar store could ever expect for. Additionally, e-commerce is believed to be a significant component of e-business. Moreover, e-business can as well make use of the Internet to obtain wholesale products o r supplies intended for in-house manufacturing. This side of e-business is occasionally recognized as online or e-procurement, as well as provides the businesses an excellent opportunity to reduce their costs radically. However, the majority of e-businesses that work without an electronic business platform at the present utilize e-procurement as a key mechanism to effectively track and run their purchasing (McGuigan, 2013). Apple - Essay Example This form of expansion would include setting up a manufacturing base for sourcing products to the Asia pacific region and USA. Porterââ¬â¢s Diamond Model Michel Porterââ¬â¢s diamond model is used to analyze the aspect of success of firms in a particular international market (refer annexure 2). The dimensions of this model include the following aspects (Klug, 2006, p.14). Factor Conditions Apple with its talented pool of resources and innovative approach can easily use the talented pool of resources available in China. China offers a ready supply of skilled labor force at cheap rates that can help the company to manufacture products at very low prices. Demand Conditions China is the largest populated nation of the world and is also witnessing high growth in its economy. According to the CIA the GDP of the nation in terms of purchasing power parity is about 10.09 trillion US dollars as of 2010. Along with this the growing Western influence has also affected the consumer behavior of the Chinese consumers making it a market with huge potential for Apple to exploit (CIA, 2011). Related and Supporting Industries The presence of suppliers and a close co-ordination helps generate competitive advantage for the organization. Apple has been known to have a cordial approach in its relationship with the suppliers and also shares an innovative approach in research and development that can be very well replicated in China to generate competitive advantage. Strategy, Rivalry and Structure The industry segment catered by Apple is highly competitive with a large number of firms competing against each other in the market. The Chinese market is also categorized by the presence of fake and pirated goods. Apple with its innovative and high quality product offering can easily fill this gap that arises between the consumer demands and the product offering and generate competitive advantage. CAGE Analysis CAGE analysis is often used by organizations to evaluate new markets and na tions by firm while expanding internationally. CAGE stands for cultural, administrative, geographic and economic distance (Sethna, 2008, p.25-28). CAGE analysis is often used by organizations to evaluate new markets and nations by firm while expanding internationally. CAGE stands for cultural, administrative, geographic and economic distance (Sethna, 2008, p.25-28). Cultural Cultural factors are very important in case of international expansion as it helps in generating a better connect with the customers. Hofstedeââ¬â¢s proposed five dimensions that can be used to analyse the cultural aspects namely, power distance index, individualism, masculinity, uncertainty avoidance and long term orientation. In these aspects China has been ranked 118 in the world and has the highest rank in Asia (refer annexure 3). This shows high values for culture and hence implies that Apple must follow a ââ¬Ëglocalisedââ¬â¢ approach in its expansion into China. Administrative China has autocratic governance and has strict laws governing the nation. The nation however has opened up its economy and is keen on getting foreign investors in the nation as a part of its liberalisation program. China however still maintains a cautious outlook towards foreign companies and tries to protect its domestic industries. Geographic

Scarlet Letter Diary Entries Essay -- The Scarlet Letter Diary Hester
Scarlet Letter Diary Entries Entry 1 I have arrived at my new home. The boat trip was very rough, even to the extent of making me lose track of time. That unclean, floating mass of death was merciful enough to let me be. Too many children have suffered and died on the way to America. I miss Roger a little bit, and hope he comes soon. I'm very lonely and I don't know what I'll do to keep myself busy. Roger was nice enough to give me money to live off of until he comes to be with me. There are a lot of handsome men around here. A single woman could have a lot of fun, and never be by herself. Entry 2 Well, it's been a few weeks since I came ashore on this new land, but I think I'm getting used to the people and their customs. I have a house that's very comfortable and cozy. It's small, but just the right size for Roger and I. The church here is very nice. The minister is young and full of life, and kind of cute too. They welcomed me in with open arms, and I've been invited to attend every Sunday. They all make me feel so at home, I was immediately attached to the people here. I have sewn a new dress for myself for special occasions only. I've worn it to church once and got dozens of compliments on it. I've even got some offers from some of the 'better off' folk, to make dresses for them, but I declined. I'm fine just enjoying life right now. Everything is perfect, except Roger isn't here. It's funny; I don't miss him that much anymore. I keep wondering when he'll a...

Organizational Behaviors Analysis in ââ¬ËOceanââ¬â¢s Thirteenââ¬â¢
The movie ââ¬ËOceanââ¬â¢s Thirteenââ¬â¢ is a good resource for the organizational behaviors analysis. And I will focus on the ââ¬ËTeamsââ¬â¢, ââ¬ËLeadershipââ¬â¢ and ââ¬ËPersonalityââ¬â¢ to analysis some facts in this movie. First I will focus on the teams of Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen. The team is a highly organized and efficient team. I think they perform all 3 kinds of typical tasks which include production tasks, decision-making tasks and creativity tasks. And the team is comprehensive interdependence as all its membersââ¬â¢ work will affect each other and also affects the outcome of their whole job.And although the members of Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen include people with different race, ethnicity, age, personality, interests, knowledge, skills and abilities, but they have similar core value. And although they have a great chance to have relational conflict which may cause a very bad result, they surprisingly get along with each other and easily cooperate with each other. Here are some examples about Ocean thirteenââ¬â¢s teamwork. The team of Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen has 2 plans. The first plan was to prevent the Bankââ¬â¢s hotel from winning the prestigious ââ¬ËFive Diamond Rating Prizeââ¬â¢ and the second plan was to rig the casinoââ¬â¢s slot machines and other gamesââ¬â¢ machines in the casino to let the players win more than $500 million in total across the casino in order to force Willy Bank to give up the control of that casino to the board. For their first plan, Saul acted as the fake reviewer for ââ¬ËFive Diamond Rating Prizeââ¬â¢ and they bribed an ambitious concierge called Debbie to treat the real reviewer badly and led the real reviewer into a room that other 2 members of Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen had already sabotaged. And they also gave money to a waiter to let that waiter tell the real reviewer that he could not enjoy a meal at an Italian restaurant which was actually empty at that time because he d id not reserve for a seat. And that waiter also advised the real reviewer to go to a Chinese-Sichuan restaurant called ââ¬ËLing Suââ¬â¢. And then the real reviewer got the food which was changed by a member of Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen and that food made him vomit in his hotel room later. And he found that there were a lot of small insects on his roomââ¬â¢s bed sheets, so he was very angry of it and gave a very bad evaluation to that hotel for the ââ¬ËFive Diamond Rating Prizeââ¬â¢. For their second plan, the members of Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen work in the positions that they are good at. Denny Ocean commanded the overall situation and coordinated with different parties. Rusty played as a fake seismologist in order to convince Willy to put a ââ¬Ëstandard torsion seismographââ¬â¢ equipment, which was actually a surveillance machine for the Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen, on his officeââ¬â¢s desk to register for the foreshock of an earthquake.Turk went to Mexico to deal w ith the strike of the factories that provided the dices and other casino appliances the Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen used to cheat that casino later. Basher worked as a person to create ââ¬Ëearthquakeââ¬â¢ in the casino. Yen first acted as a Chinese super-high roller to get access to the central room of the hotel and then walked into the shafts from that room. Frank and Saul worked together to let Willy use the ââ¬ËNuff Saidââ¬â¢ at center of that casino. And Linus seduced Sponder in order to get into the room where Willy hided diamonds. And Virgil voluntarily asked to handle the task of hacking the casinoââ¬â¢s computer after the original hacker Livingston was caught by a federal agent. And there are also many other facts that I am not going to list in detail show the highly cooperation in the team of Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen. Secondly, I will talk about the leadership in Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen. As the main leader of Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen is Danny Ocean, I will focus on the leadership and personality of Danny Ocean. Danny Ocean is a great leader. He has a personality of conscientiousness and extraversion. He is knowledgeable, dependable, organized, reliable, hardworking, persevering, sociable and passionate. And he has great ability of summarizing other peopleââ¬â¢s ideas and drawing a final decision that combines the advantages from other peopleââ¬â¢s ideas. He also has great emotional intelligence. He has the ability to recognize and understand the emotions other people are feeling and the ability to control his feelings and quickly recover from some serious emotional experience. As a result, he can harness those emotions and use those emotions to improve his chances in leading the Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen to successfully complete several tough tasks. In addition, he processes the consultative type of leadership. And he has transformational leadership. He mostly uses initiating structure leadership behaviors to make sure that every member of O ceanââ¬â¢s thirteen to try their best to do the job as well as using consideration leadership behaviors by creating relationships with mutual trust, respect and consideration of feelings of other Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen members. So he is able to make every member of Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen to have a good mood at work and let the work efficiencies of Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen remain high all the time. In brief, combining with the plots of other 2 movies ââ¬ËOceanââ¬â¢s Elevenââ¬â¢ and ââ¬Å"Oceanââ¬â¢s Twelveââ¬â¢, I think Danny Ocean is the main reason that Oceanââ¬â¢s members had a great performance in every major task they take. At last, Iââ¬â¢d like to talk the personality of some roles in this movie. I have already talked about the personality of Danny Oceanââ¬â¢s personality in the previous paragraph. And I will focus on 2 people with entirely different personality ââ¬â Reuben and Willy. Reuben has a personality of agreeableness. He is kind, cooperat ive, warm and loyal to his friends. So when he was destroyed by Willy, his loyal band of friends quickly got together and began to get revenge for Reuben, even to work with their enemy ââ¬â Terry Benedict. In the other hand, Willy has a personality of Neuroticism and Extraversion. He is moody, insecure, jealous, unstable, assertive, dominant, greedy and sinister. He is a typical villain with no mercy and extremely low moral awareness. His employees were afraid of him and his partners hated him. So even though he had done a really good job in operating his previous hotels, many members of the broad of his new hotel still did not like him and many employees of him easily betrayed him by cooperating with Oceanââ¬â¢s thirteen. To sum up, the ââ¬ËOceanââ¬â¢s Thirteenââ¬â¢ is really a great movie. And I also have a better understanding of the things Iââ¬â¢ve learnt from Organizational Behavior course by watching this movie.

How Successfully Did Alexander Iii Suppress Opposition Essay
sHow successfully did Alexander III suppress opposition? Alexander III was the Tsar of Russia from 1881 to 1894 and during his reign, Russia became somewhat stable, and Alexander himself opposed his fatherââ¬â¢s reforms and stamped out any opposition to his rule. His father, Alexander II had allowed reformers to be present in the government. This allowed instability and opposition at times when Russia was not in its better stages. Revolts and rebellions has plagued Russian History and opposed the Tsars in the past. From this, Alexander III wanted to keep reformers out of the Government in an attempt to reduce opposition and keep stability. He was somewhat successful, there were fewer rebellions against the Tsar and stability was in orderâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦This meant that he had full power of Russia, and any ideas or reforms that were to be made had to be put to him to decide upon. This meant that the opposition to his rule were ignored, and he had full control of his country and the people in it. He hated Alexander IIââ¬â¢s idea of westernising Russia, as he believed that this was not what the peasants would want, and believed that he held a bond with the peasants. By this, the peasants felt like for once, someone was prepared to listen to their views and do what was best for them, and seen as a huge percentage of Russians were peasants; this was extremely popular and reduced the chances of a peasant revolt. Instead, Alexander wanted to modernise Russia and turn it into a great power. By 1881, Alexander destroyed the proposals of reform that his father had created. He forced the reforming ministers to resign and made it very clear that his rule was one of autocracy. Met by many with dislike, however, Alexander did crush any hope of a peaceful reform by the Russian people and by doing so made it less likely that there would be opposition to him, as the people were unwilling to use violence for their cause. Alexander used a secret police force known as the Okhrama, to help him to govern Russia and give terror to those who opposed him. Over 5000 people were exiled or sentenced to hard labour by 1894, and by this, opposition was reduced.
